The MotherFolk Story
Motherhood is full of stories - about how we should give birth; how we should parent; how we should care (or not!) for ourselves. Whether it's in passing comments from relatives, in the 'routine' practices of maternity care, or in the commercial algorithms of social media, these stories are everywhere.
And let's be honest, they all contradict each other; so no matter how you do motherhood, you are set up for failure, and with that, shame.
